I am a nurse who is currently enrolled in the Psychiatric Mental Health NP program at the University of Southern Maine, Portland, Maine. I too, am famiiar with the loss and grieving that takes place when a family member is terminally ill. I lost my sister in 98 to breast cancer and my brother in 2003 to brain cancer. My family was devastated by this and we could of benefitted from the support of health care clinicians to help us, especially my parents, to sort out the grief we were feeling. I am very interested in working with families and would like to get on your e-mail list to be updated on future conferences.
Respecfully,
Lorraine Ware Rioux, BSN

Mom,
I am writing at report on you for my nursing class on different nurses that have made major contributions to the field. I love love loved your personal story and am realizing more and more as I grow older how incredible you really are. I love you with all my heart.
